I am conducting a dialogue with a woman modeled on the Virgin Mary. Her image has been present in symbolism for centuries, consistently representing the most perfect virtues and qualities. I use my own portrait in an attempt to match that ideal in pose and appearance, striving toward this notion of perfection.
