SLOT is a unique experiment at the intersection of art and social practices, where the boundary between creator and recipient becomes blurred. At the beginning of July, several thousand people gather in the small town of Lubiąż in Lower Silesia to create, work, and live together in search of the “art of life.”
Through collective effort, they transform an abandoned monastic complex into a “prototype town” that exists only for a few days each year.
More than 1,000 of them are volunteers—building both infrastructure and the festival programme. Among them are enthusiasts and experts leading over 100 workshops across various fields—from dance, through kayak building, to starting a business. In addition, there are 10 diverse music stages, cinema, theatre, exhibitions, lectures, and discussions, as well as, most importantly, spontaneous conversations and meetings in atmospheric cafés.
All of this takes place in the extraordinary setting of a vast Baroque palace, with a raw Gothic Art Cathedral at its centre and the wild banks of the Oder River nearby.

Na początku lipca do niewielkiego Lubiąża na Dolnym Śląsku zjeżdża kilka tysięcy osób, aby razem tworzyć, pracować i mieszkać poszukując „sztuki życia”. Wspólnymi siłami zamieniają opustoszały kompleks klasztorny w „prototyp miasteczka”, które istnieje tylko kilka dni w roku.
Ponad 1000 z nich to ochotnicy – budujący zarówno infrastrukturę, jak i program festiwalu. Są wśród nich pasjonaci i eksperci prowadzący ponad 100 warsztatów z różnych dziedzin – od tańca, przez budowę kajaków aż po zakładanie firmy. Do tego gra 10 różnorodnych scen muzycznych, jest kino, teatr, wystawy, ale też wykłady i dyskusje, a także najważniejsze: spontaniczne rozmowy i spotkania w klimatycznych kafejkach. Wszystko to w niezwykłej scenerii olbrzymiego, barokowego pałacu z surową, gotycką ArtKatedrą w centrum i dzikim brzegiem Odry nieopodal.
