Preserves

We go through many stages in life. Plenty of things shape us, affect our personality and appearance. However, there are people who do not want to give in to this natural course. They stop at some time of their choice, negating changes and development. “Preserves” are a symbol of a desperate attempt to stop time – those related to aging and those that affect our adaptation to the changing reality. Portraits put in jars function next to dust particles, hair debris and threads – underlining that the chosen stage of life in which we want to stay is not devoid of negatives. “Preserves” with the whole baggage of experience, we allow the situation when this baggage begins to live its own life, often piercing our dream effigy.
